‘Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.’ – Groucho Marx

Writing prompt: justice

We witness injustice often in our lives. From big things such as innocent people dying in wars to little things like seeing bullies go unpunished.

Take a character in your latest work in progress and give them an injustice to face. It might be a large one that alters the trajectory of the story, or a small one that they can overcome. How does your character grow or develop when they have a challenge? What does the reader learn about your character based on how they act when they face adversity? Can the injustice they face show a different side to your character that you haven’t previously explored before? Do they need help or guidance from other characters to overcome the situation?
