World Poetry Day March 21

March 21 is World Poetry Day, a day decreed by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organisation) to celebrate “the unique ability of poetry to capture the creative spirit of the human mind.”

World Poetry Day “supports linguistic diversity through poetic expression and to offer endangered languages the opportunity to be heard within their communities.”
