When I picked up this book, it was like picking up any other book. I read through the first few pages and then it started to get interesting. The book is about a child prodigy called Artemis Fowl who dedicates his intellect to criminal activities. Artemis then discovers that there is an underworld where fairies live. These are high-tech, peace-loving fairies who despise the human race because of their pollution.

When Artemis captures Captain Holly Short, a respected officer from the LEP(The police force in the underworld), he doesn't know what he has got him self into. The whole LEP works to counter Artemis' threats for demanding one-tonne of 24 carat gold in exchange for Captain Short. They eventually sent the gold for Holly and blows the Fowl Manor with solinium-24, a radioactive life eliminating substance, but Artemis escapes them again. The LEP got half the gold they sent back when Holly helped cure Artemis' mother.

I would rate this book an excellent, nine out of ten because of its suspenseful chapters and incredible drama. This book is for any advanced reader that will understand the events that unfold before them.

This is a great Indiana Jones book that will quench anyone's thirst for adventure. The year is 1936 and Indiana Jones is in the jungles of South America with Satipo and Barranca, Peruvian thieves who wanted to accompany Indy(short for Indiana) to find the Lost Temple of Chachapoyan. Indy went inside the temple, wittingly avoiding traps and got the gold idol inside the temple.

After though, Indy was trapped by Belloq, and archeologist like Indy; but takes advantage of other people's discoveries for himself(Belloq later helps the Nazis find the Lost Ark).Belloq forces Indy to hand over the idol

Indy then goes to Nepal, where he meets his old friend Marion. Marion then becomes his companion. They both go to Cairo to see what the Nazis are doing. The Nazis kidnap Marion and Indy is outwitted by the Nazis....

In conclusion, I reccommend this book for those who seek adventures and it is verry good. I feel as if I was Indiana in this book. This a great read!

This book is a great starter to the 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series'. It introduces Greg, his firends, his high school and teachers.

It is another year of middle school for him and he is a bit anxious.Greg is worried that he might be bullied by the 'bigger kids' and has an idea that year level should be determined by height. He tries to be the most  popular person in the class but fails. He then complains that it is too difficult to be a magnet for girls because in primary school it was if your was a good runner, you get all the girls; but in high school it gets too complicated. Will he make it through the year?

In conclusion, this is a hilarious read and I would recommend to anyone eight years old and over.

This is a hilarious read. It is a great book added to the 'Diary of the Wimpy Kid' Series. The scene is set when Greg sweeps snow to earn money and is worried that he will be caught by the police.

He is then trapped inside a house with his Mum and brothers with no electricity and limited food....
