Inky Awards Resources

Since 2007, the Inky Awards have given young readers the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the best of YA literature from Australia and overseas. The Inky Awards are Australia’s only teen-choice literature awards, giving young people autonomy to engage with literary critique and the broader literary community.

As a teen, you can get involved in the Inky Awards by applying to be an Inky Judge to help select the shortlist, or voting to select the ultimate winners. Voting will open in July 2019

As a teacher or librarian, you can get involved in the Inky Awards by running classroom activities, book clubs or running your own literary events alongside the awards program. We have the following resources available to help you set up these programs.

Inky Awards Library Kit 2019

A guide to bringing the Inky Awards into your library through displays, reading groups and literary events and programs.

Inky Awards Teacher Kit 2019

A guide to classroom activities, such as literature circles, review writing and podcasting, that you can use to connect the Inky Awards to curriculum content.
