November Literary Events

November – it’s a funny month. Things get busy at school, end of year events start filling the calendar and Christmas plans start creeping in with a jingle of bells. But there is still some literature fun to be had! Here are a few events that are on for us bookish people.

Scott Westerfeld is still touring with the new book Shatter CityMelbourne folk can catch him at Readings Hawthorn in conversation with Jay Kristoff.

Also appearing at Readings is Will Kostakis promoting his latest book Monuments. 

Monday November 18 at Readings Kids — 315 Lygon St, Carlton VIC 3053 at 6.30 pm in conversation with Amie Kaufman.

And then both Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff appearing together to talk The Aurora Cycle series at Readings Hawthorn on November 21 at 6.00pm.

The Wollongong Writers Festival November 22- 24 has a host of wonderful events like this one with Helena Fox and Erin Gough.

 LET THE LIGHT IN: ON TRUTH & VULNERABILITY IN YA

Two raw and poetic YA fiction authors in conversation with bookseller Lorin Elizabeth on the things that matter. From mental health and feminism, to secretly loving your mum, Helena Fox and Erin Gough explore the ways in which teen fiction honours growth and trust between characters and readers alike.

Coming up in Brisbane is GenreCon 2019 from November 22-24 featuring a smorgasbord of leading names in Australian and international genre fiction. We have a spectacular line up of panels, workshops and special events, including the Longest Book Launch and GenreCon Night Market.
For fans of Non-fiction we have the Word for Word National Non-fiction Festival in Geelong from November 15 -17.
