Inky's Fri-yay October 4

Welcome to another Fri-yay when we have a look at what has been happening in our little bookish community.

And as another week goes by I am again reflecting on the mind blowing #teenstothefront content on here that constantly impresses and inspires me. Really. Can never quite believe how brilliant you all are. Mind. Officially. Blown.

Our LIT CLUB looking at Catching Teller Crow comes to an end and talk about ending with a bang. The discussions there will continue – there is so much in the book to talk about! Content and form are rich in this one. And the Lit Club readers have responded so creatively to this book. Your insight is so impressive. This week we have two more well considered and reflective reviews of the book and a creative response with a PAINTING and a POEM.
Even if you haven’t read the book I encourage you to go over to Lit Club and see how amazing these posts are. You might just be inspired to join in for the next book?

Lit Club = Mind Blown.

But wait – there’s more. We have the September discussion of Carry On by Rainbow Rowell over at Between The Pages Book Club and a review of Carry On by sylvs. Sylvs also gives us insight into her TBR pile. Seriously. It’s a TBR to end all TBR’s.

Inky Judge Zitong gives us a September reading round up that includes some classic fantasy and new releases. Those Inky judges sure can read!

Shadow Judges also read like a crazy babies. Just ask imosshelf! She gives us not one but TWO reviews. A review of the challenging but important book I Am Change by Suzy Zail and a step out of her usual reading comfort zone with a non fiction memoir review of En Pointe by Chloe Bayliss.

And we had a visitor to the State Library of Victoria this week! Library 101 has written about it here. Wish I had have known! I would have come and said hi!

You guys are also writing about climate change. And you know what? Why wouldn’t you be! It’s the issue we all face across the planet. Ellipsis has shared a link with a petition here for our government to declare a climate state of emergency.  Thanks ellipsis! Signed it! And lauraamabel has written a poem about our world that reminds us all to care more.

Thanks for sharing the planet with me! Happy Fri-yay! See you all next week!
