‘Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.’ – Groucho Marx

Another week, another amazing collection of work being posted on the site. We are almost at the end of NaNoWriMo, has anyone reached their word count goal yet? We have a whole blog dedicated to NaNoWriMo this year. It’s chock-a-block with tips and tricks, plus if you become a contributor and share your work or even just post a question or advice, you’ll go into the draw to win a book pack!

If you’re keen to set yourself a writing challenge but missed the NaNoWriMo boat this year, check out tjravenclaw’s post. They have heaps of handy advice about how to self-motivate and keep track of your work.

There are heaps of new users on the site, hello new friends! teabiscuits has set up a new blog for all you book/tea/biscuit lovers out there. There’s already three great posts on there, including this succinct summary of Twilight by canolaoil (just in time for the 10 year anniversary of the Twilight movie!).

phantom has also set up a blog called allthebestbooks, where (you guessed it!) you can post about all the best books you’ve ever read! If you want to gush about your fave books, or maybe suss out some new titles to add to your TBR pile, be sure to check it out!

We are so lucky to have so many terrifically talented artists on the site. jayay has posted this beautiful digital drawing, which includes a fascinating look at how they have put the layers of the image together! Yay for skill-sharing! indiaaqua has shared some stunning hand-drawn sketches: this ~mysterious~ one, and a new portrait of Harper showing a side of her that we haven’t seen before. Keep the art coming, folks, I love it!

If you’re not sure how to find all this amazing content, be sure to check out the new feed function that we’ve created. And if there’s anything else you’d like to see on the site, let us know via our feedback form.

Happy weekend everyone!
