Inky's Fri-yay May 6

It’s Fri-yay, Fri-yay, Fri-yay ,Fri-ay! The first Fri-yay for May! I hope you all got out on the morning of May 1 and washed your face in the morning dew to boost your looks, as is the tradition in Scotland on Beltane, the traditional day marking the end of Winter. Of course it’s all topsy turvy for us, but a boost to the looks with a quick sprinkle of morning dew is always worth a try.

For us of course the May days mean shorter days and colder days which are still great days for READING a good book. And if you are looking for a good book then you are in the right place. We have reviews from littlereads at Book Nook, our weekly installment of 5 mini reviews from guest blogger Emily Mead, the Inky Awards longlisted book Hive reviewed by shadow judge isabellac and slyvs over at NovelTY reads has reviewed a new release as requested by a publisher. Go us!

It’s enough to make you want to belt out a power ballad. You could choose one from this list. Thanks chelcyg! Hard for me to choose between Purple Rain and Jolene.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to imosshelf who is the winner of our Sydney Writers Festival Giveaway! There will be books coming your way!

And finally – head over to lirrynoodle’s blog Oh My Disney and you can see the inspiration for this week’s gif theme. Take care everyone and beware of End Game spoilers. I’m looking at you ellipsis!
