‘Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.’ – Groucho Marx

Inky's Fri-Yay March 22

Well hello and yes it is already THAT time of the week – it’s Fri-yay!

First business of the day is HELP!

Word of the Day is recruiting! Want to join ellipsis and damnedmonkey in their quest for eloquence?  Got some crazy vocabulary you want to share? Like did you know that the word betwattled means confused? Calling all word nerds! Join the gang.

Strangergab also needs help – they need a good book to read. Come on – surely this place is where you can get some good book recommendations?

Go and help! And chelcyg has a real problem – their friend won’t read Harry Potter! Suggestions are welcome.

What is poetry?

Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance. – Carl Sandburg.

Poetry is plucking at the heartstrings, and making music with them. ― Dennis Gabor.

Poetry is everywhere-so keep your eyes peeled – Inky.

In honour of yesterday being World Poetry Day, let’s celebrate the poets right here and right now! Those of poetic persuasion can contribute to the Poetry People here or just publish on your own blog like Unicornmel  And if you want to know more about poetry then check out these HOW TO part one and part two from the old Dog’s Advisory Board (or DAB as they were affectionately known)

And last but not least – BOOKS! We have new releases,

author news, and of course – book reviews. From confessions of a readerholicand zitongbooks.

And thanks to all of you who took to the streets last Friday to join the School Strike 4 Climate Action. You guys are changing the world.

See you all next week!
