Inky's Fri-yay June 5

Well can you believe it is June already?!

Pride month! Yay!

First month of Winter! (Boo!)

And the sixth month of 2020. We’re getting towards the middle of this year’s narrative and yeah it does seem to be getting crazier. I mean, what next?

Hope you are all safe and healthy especially as many more of you head back to IRL school next week. How are you all feeling about that?

A new month means a new book for The Between the Pages Book Club! To celebrate Pride Month the team has an LGBTQIA pick for you all: Alice Oseman’s  I Was Born for This. And while you are over you can check out and join in the discussion of the May book, Pumpkinhead.

In reviews we have the new release #LoveOzYA crime mystery Deep Water by Sarah Epstein reviewed over and NOVELty Reads – where you can also find a review of another new release,  A Curse of Gold by Annie Sullivan.

And if the real world is not dystopian enough for you, check out the review of Girls With Sharp Sticks over at Believe in Books.

This week in From Me To You, purplepanda tells us about the useful lessons in resilience that can be found in Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas and we have a new Blinky/Blogdog! Go and say Hi to snowzy!

And I will leave you with some hopeful words from Inspired Iris.

Thanks iris for reminding us “that no matter how rough things get, we have each other.” In these times we can draw strength from our bookish community! We are here for each other and all the stronger for that – and that includes me. Thanks everyone for staying connected through reading, writing and sharing. Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with next week!

Have a great weekend everyone!
