Inky's Fri-yay June 19

This weekend is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year and I can tell you the days are short enough already. I mean, it feels like the weeks are zooming by like flying bananas! There is always so much happening each week. Didn’t I write a Fri-yay post just yesterday?

Around the site we have a bit of everything thanks to our consistently amazing contributors. Sylvs at NOVELty Reads  gives us not one, but two great reviews – both great reads for Pride Month! Music From Another World provides historical context to the LGBTQ+ protests and riots in the 70’s USA and sounds like the perfect Pride Month read The Extraordinaries, “is a queer coming-of-age story about a fanboy with ADHD and the heroes he loves” describes as a mix of Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl and Marissa Meyer’s Renegades and sylvs DEVOURED IT!

In another fantastic review over at Books I am Reading sekhmet dissects their mixed reaction to the 2019 Inky Award Shortlisted sci-fi Navigating the Stars. There’s some good recommendation and discussion fodder there blogdogs!

Newbie scout gives us some poetry recommendations in a lovely poetic post and is asking for recommendations too! And original thought provoking poetry from bookreader!

Well done for sharing and caring for another week. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with next. I must say that I have got my reading mojo back AND the libraries are open again so we can get a lovely bookhaul. And don’t forget if you are looking for something that Michael Pryor has a fee ebook novella based on the Laws of Magic series!

Stay safe everyone and see you Inside a Dog!!
