‘Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.’ – Groucho Marx

Inky's Fri-Yay January 25

It’s time. You know it’s time. Those back to school adds and catalogues will not let you forget that it is time. Time to sharpen the pencils and dust off the backpack. Yes it is time to go back to school.

So here  is the last Fri-yay of the school holidays. Fri-yeah.

Hope you go some great holiday reading done.

There’s still time! A final weekend to squeeze in some reading. A little time before the homework load builds up. If you need some inspiration, loquacious ladybird might just convince you to read the Raven Cycle series by Maggie Steifvater. Or for something shiny and new? A round up of the January new releases here.

Have you read our thought provoking guest post about why there isn’t more YA books set at university. Why YA? Is it NA? Just A? Just Y? There is a new listicle inspired by this with some novels set in university –  some called YA and some not. Why not?

And if reading stories with great characters is what you like then there is a story happening right here right now! A co-written novel in alternating chapters by bookgirl  and dolphinkick. Meet Anastasia and Sofia. Keep up with the unfolding adventures of The Silverwind here!  And remember – constructive comments thanks!

There is also a brilliant art collaboration from spacesoda and rhapsody. I’m so excited! You’re working together!

And don’t forget to keep up with the news. There be zombies news for you to check out. And you all know things are far more exciting with zombies.

Love it! Thanks for mentioning dolphinkick and my book! It means a lot to us!
