Inky's Fri-Yay January 11!

Hello all and happy new year!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful break over the Chrissy holidays. I certainly did — I spent most of my time tearing through my TBR pile! Lucky I did because 2019 is packed with amazing new YA releases that will have my TBR pile stacked to the ceiling. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the Centre for Youth Literature’s 2019 YA release list.

Here on Inside a Dog, we’re kicking off the new year with a brand new Lit Club — this month we are reading and discussion Finding Nevo by Nevo Zisin. Head on over to the Lit Club blog to have a read of reviews and responses, and if you’d like to contribute just comment below and I can add you to our contributor list. I’ll be giving away a book pack to one lucky contributor — all you have to do is post on the Lit Club blog in January to go in the draw!

You folks are certainly keeping yourselves busy, too. There are so many incredible reviews, creative pieces and artworks being shared every day! If you like poetry, once has shared another back-to-front poem over on their blog. And if art is your thing, be sure to check out all the amazing drawings that spacesoda posts, especially this latest collection.

If you’re looking for book recommendations, bangtantodd has recently reviewed What If It’s Us? and Note to Self, plus ladybird is back with a review of The Things That Will Not Stand. And for all those tossing up between their read for pleasure pile and all the books you need to read for school, hufflepuff has got some good advice.

Finally, huge shout-out to rhapsody for their amazing wrap-up of 2018. I am in awe of everything you achieved last year, and I can’t wait to read your book!

Woohoo! Can’t wait to tackle 2019 with you all!
