‘Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.’ – Groucho Marx

Hello wonderful people! Can you hear those sleigh-bells ringing? Who’s looking forward to the holidays?

Does your family give pressies? What’s on your holiday wish list? Books?

It sure seems like you’ll all need some new titles to add to your TBR pile — by the looks of all the books reviews you’re posting, you’re all absolutely tearing through books left, right and centre. If anyone wants to know more about The Book Thief, Wonder or Finding Serendipity there are plenty of new reviews up on the site. Thank you to everyone who took the time to post their thoughts!

If you need advice on books to give to people, my advice is to check out Throne of Shook, sylv’s reviewing blog, which is chock-a-block full of advice about what’s hot and what’s not in YA literature. Her latest review is of Rainbow Rowell’s Eleanor and Park. Spoiler alert: it’s a sad one.

once has been posting some beautiful prose writing, the latest piece is called The Symphony of the Night. Well done, once, you’ve crafted some gorgeous images in this work, plus you taught me a new word — “ostinato”.

Spacesoda has posted another cool thing on their ~abstract~ blog, which is full of 10/10 aesthetics. And everyone should definitely check out all the amazing Doctor Who art on whovian’s art blog! Fantastic work!

Happy weekend everyone!
