‘Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.’ – Groucho Marx

Inky's Fri-yay

Okay so I will fess up – I’m a little late today. I was having internet *issues* yesterday and the computer just said no!
But the show must go on! It’s Friday so it’s time to round up of what you have been up to so we can all shout YAY!

Despite saying they are in an iso reading slump, we still have a review from ever reliable favourite bookworm imosshelf at Confessions of a Readerholic with a review of a recent #LoveOzYa release Mindcull.  The book is sci-fi dystopia with sinister global tech giant – yes I said sci-fi dystopia NOT contemporary – and sounds like quite a ride. If that’s what takes your fancy then go and grab yourself a copy!

Another dystopian reading boom is happening for our 2019 Inky judge kasha. Read all about dystopian book cravings, ignored P.E. assignments and other highlights of SAD QUARANTINE LIFE here! What is going on people??? Hungry for dystopia? What? Real world too real for you or are you just preparing for the next chapter in the post pandemic world?

Well if you can’t find enough to read you can always write your own story like library did at Writing 101.And I for one am looking forward to reading more! Keep going library!

For a refreshing read, suhani at Believe in Books recommends Blue Feather by Gary Crew (we’re loving all the #LoveOzYA this week!) The books sounds intriguing! Combining exploration and magical creatures and the form includes letters and radio messages. Sounds great suhani!

And over at From Me to You we can learn some lessons from Rapunzel and Aladdin thanks to purplepanda! And have you guessed the theme for the week from the gifs?

Happy reading, writing, reviewing and exploring all the worlds books have to offer you!

What a successful week for the Blinky/BlogDogs!
