‘Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.’ – Groucho Marx

Inky's Fri-ya May 22

Well hello dear Blogdogs and Blinkies.

You know, I’ve been thinking about the old days. You know – precendented times. Remember those days? Good times.

This week in YA news we have The Hunger Games prequel (yeah – not a word I know)The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes now available in book shops and libraries AND news from Rick Riordan that the Percy Jackson series is going to be a live action series  on Disney plus.

And if that’s not enough to get you excited then perhaps this will?

Not ONE  but TWO Folk of the Air FAN ART pieces from  poppy and news (from imosshelf) that Holly Black is writing a CARDAN NOVELLA!!!

In reviews and recommendations we have a ghostly book reviewed at The Between The Pages Book Club some manga love at NOVELty Reads. In other general bookishness (okay, again, not a word, but whatevs…) ellsbells at All Booked discussed books they wish were adapted to screen. Go and see if you would add to this list! And welcome back iris, who this week, at Poet’s Alive, gives us a treatise on why we should read F. Scott Fitzgerald. You don’t have to convince me iris!

But this week I urge ALL OF YOU to go and read purplepanda’s post How Not To Give Up. It. Is. Poetry. Thank you so much for sharing and for caring purplepanda.

A girl smiles. The text below her reads 'thanks for the poetry'.

I will leave you this Fri-yay with a teaser from mimmirgan to WATCH THIS SPACE.

Intrigued? I am!

What a great week of creativity! A bit of everything! Thanks blogdogs and blinkies and so long!
