Inky Award nominations

The Inky Awards recognise high-quality young adult literature – as chosen by teens.

There are two awards: the Gold Inky Award for an Australian book, and the Silver Inky Award for an international book. The awards are named after's mascot (and wonder-dog), Inky.

Here you can nominate a young adult book for consideration for the 2018 Inky Awards.

The fine(r) print:

- The Inky Awards are for fictional novels, poetry, anthologies and/or graphic novels, and can be a work of joint authorship or editorship.

- Books must have been first made available to the Australian public during 2017. This includes publication in Australia and imports distributed by an Australian publisher (for the Silver Inky Award).

- Titles are only eligible if they are readily available to Australian teenagers, in schools, bookshops, and public libraries.

- All works must be in English.

- To be eligible for the Gold Inky Award, authors must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

- To be eligible for the Silver Inky Award, authors must be a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than Australia.

- This submissions page will close on 18 December 2017, at 5pm AEST.
