Edinburgh International Book Festival 2020

Well if there could be a silver lining to the pandemic, I guess it would be things like the Edinburgh International Book Festival going online for free! Yes for free! Online from August 15 -August 31 2020.

Yes that’s right! 140 online BOOKISH events for free in the comfort of your ug boots. Have an explore of the program and see if anything takes your fancy! The festival is THEMED and I did notice that the Young Fierce and Proud events looked like they would interest the blogdogs and blinkies and it features Juno Dawson.

The festival looks pretty good to me. I searched through the list of authors appearingand found some of my favourites. To access the events (as far as I can tell) you must create an account, login and bookmark what you are interested in and a reminder link will be sent to you. Sounds simple.(What I haven’t been able to ascertain is how long the content is available for.)At some events you can log in for 30 minutes before the event to ask the authors questions. So check it out!  You can pretend you have had a holiday on the other side of the world without going anywhere!
