I loved this novel.  Set on a rugged coastal town in Tasmania.  Gwen and Loretta are 17 years old and are the best of friends.  Gwen has been trying hard to cope with the sadness of deaths in her family.  Gwen's dad has remarried and Gwen is now part of a blended family. After an incident at the cafe where Gwen works, she starts to spiral into confusion over what she remembers of her little brother Jamie and her mother.  Through Gwen's diary the reader is privy to her inner most thoughts.I loved the character of Ben who comes to live next door to Gwen.  Ben comes with his own secrets.

Highly recommended
