When I first found this book it was the cover that attracted me. I know that sounds horrible but its the truth, but that's how it happens anyway. I read the back and thought it was gonna be a cliche "boy meets a girl who is different from anyone in existence" but in the end it wasn't.

The book is basically about this guy called Henry Page, he's hoping for a cliche love story but it just hasn't happened. He's focused on getting into a good college and managing the school's newspaper, the job of editor, a job he had been dreaming about for 3 years. Outside of school, he hangs out with his two best friends, Lola and Murray, playing video games and helping them with their own love lives. That's when Grace Town enters the picture. The new girl who wears oversized, baggy boys' clothing, walks with a cane, seems to never shower and is hiding secrets. They are paired together to write the school's newspaper and he realises she could be the dream girl he has been pining for years. Henry is about to learn the disasters of first love, and how sometimes risks and detours someone makes can be the ones that matter more.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it was the type that made me carry it around everywhere and read whenever possible because it was hard to put down. I like how it's different from other typical YA novels about teen love but shows it raw and true. The mystery behind Grace makes the book interesting and captivating. Krystal Sutherland is a great author and thought she wrote this beautifully, this is her debut and I'm looking forward to what's next. Here are some quotes to inspire you to read it :)

"something must first be shattered for it to be put back together in a way that made it more beautiful than before."

"don't mourn a failed love, there's no such thing"
