I am number four is a sci-fi/adventure novel written by James Frey, Jobie Hughes, and Formerly Greg Boose under the pseudonym Pittacus Lore about a teenager named Number Four (John Smith) who is hiding on earth from an alien race named the Mogadorians, which destroyed his home planet, Lorien. There are eight others like him, dotted around earth. Numbers One, Two, and Three have already been found and killed. The story starts when John and his Cèpan (guardian) Henri move to Paradise, Ohio. John meets another teen named Sam, and they become fast friends. He also meets his first ever love interest, named Sarah. The story progresses as the Mogadorians get closer to finding and killing John, and getting closer to killing the last of the Lorians. However, in their teens, Lorians unlock superpowers, or "legacies", so it isn't easy to kill John. In the final showdown, the Mogadorians catch up to John in Paradise, and they have a massive battle with him, ending with Henri being killed and John, Sam, and Sarah barely escaping with their lives. Looking back at the book, I thought it was absolutely amazing and brilliantly written, and I have nonstop read the other books in the series until I finished them. I would definitely recommend reading this book. Also I found that it had a great team spirit and that each character had a can do attitude, and wouldn't stop until they got the job done. All in all, I would give this book a 5/5 rating, for being the best book I have read all year by far! I would recommend the series to any teenager who enjoys sci-fi or just wants to expand their horizons.
This book is unlike any other that I have read before. I would definitly recomend this series to anyone that enjoys superheroes, cliffhangers, mystery or aliens. It kept me up all night, and not many books do this to me. The characters are very different yet they all work so well together.
I am number 4 is an excellent book for you if you are into sci-fi, action/adventure books. I personally loved this book and have read the whole series. I have recently just got the latest book 'The Revenge of 7' and can't wait to read it.
There is a twist and turn at every page, you cant put the book down!
I am so addicted to this series and can't wait for the next one to come out (the revenge of seven)!! What an an amazing book this was...

There being hunted one by one and eventually they will have to fight back. I Am Number Four follows the story of John Smith, a 15-year old alien from the planet Lorien, and his guardian, Henri, as they run from the Mogadorians, another race of aliens that are hunting down John and the other eight teenage Loriens, The teenagers are protected by a charm, which only allows them to be killed in a set order. John is Number Four. He is next.
This novel brought to me a set of different emotions, I could find myself smiling like an idiot at times then be on the floor in tears. I am Number Four is the first book in a hexology which is a series of six. The Novel consists of a strong sci-fi theme and a lot of emotion.
This book was really something and is unlike anythung i have ever read. I would recommend this book to any age group because really it had me turning the page in excitement and left me wanting more!
‘I am Number Four” by Pittacus Lore is the first book in the series of ‘The Lorien Legacies’.
This novel is about nine aliens. They were from a planet named Lorien and soon the planet was attacked by the Mogadorians. They had escaped from their planet and travelled to Earth. It took them a whole year. When they arrived on Earth they had to scattered themselves into different directions. Nobody knew how long. The Mogadorians were hunting them down one by one around the world until all of them are dead.
Before the nine left Lorien, a charm was given to them. The is ensuring that they are only to be killed in the order that they were given. But the charm will not work if they are together. Some were found and killed, others are still being hunted.
This whole story is based on John hiding from the Mogadarians, and fighting against them. I really liked this novel because it shows how John feels different to people around him. This book is written in Number Four’s perspective. I really like this book and I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in science fiction and young adult literature.
