Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Harry Potter thinks he is an ordinary boy until he is rescued by an owl, taken to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, learns to play Quidditch and does battle in a deadly duel. The Reason: HARRY POTTER IS A WIZARD!
The Harry Potter series is my absolute favourite book series. Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone is a fantastic start for the series.
Harry Potter is a young boy who lives with his horrible aunt and uncle, his parents died in a "car crash" when he was a baby. When Harry turns twelve he discovers that he is actually a wizard. Harry is invited to Hogwarts school of Witch craft and Wizardry were he has many adventures with his new friends.
The Harry potter books are magical as they take you into another world full of secrets aroound every corner, it is imaginative and fun. I would defininatly recommend it for anyone who wants to try it out. It is particularly great to start a series as it gives you many more books to continue reading. The series continues to get better and better as you read it so I would really recommend it.
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone
The story of Harry Potter begins with JK Rowling’s first Harry Potter book, the Philosopher stone. The book starts off with Harry living with his aunty, her husband and their kid.
Harry doesn’t live the most pleasant life. He sleeps in a closet underneath the staircase and is treated like he doesn’t exit. He gets nothing for his birthday while their kid does. They don’t care for the boy.
But one day he went to the zoo with his cousin for his birthday. He discovered that he could talk to snakes. He didn’t know he could do this and he saved his cousin doing so.
The night after, a giant walked in, his name was Hagrid. He explains to Harry that magic is real and says to Harry “You’re a wizard Harry!” Harry is stunned. He then goes with Hagrid to the wizarding world.
During the book you follow Harry on his adventure through school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As you read you follow Harry like a shadow through all of the problems he encounters with others.
I encourage any age group above the age of 6 to read this book. The book is very long and some younger audiences won’t understand. I give the book a 9 out of ten rating. The book includes a very intense story about the boy who lived.
This book is quite lengthy but isn’t too hard to read. It is a very good book and is very mediocre to read. Read it.
I am re-reading the Harry Potter series and I think I had forgotten how magical my very first "trip" to th Harry Potter world was.
It's all so fascinating and new and you just want to be by Harry's side, following him in his every adventure.
I think I need to rcomend it to any one because it's baically a compulsory recommendation to all living creatures - magical or mundane :-)
When I first heard about the Harry Potter books I was reluctant not to read them. I had never been a fan of the whole 'magic' and 'fantasy' idea. But when I was finally convinced by my mum to give the first one a try (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone) , I couldn't put the book down!
Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone is a fantastic book. Harry Potter is a young boy who lives with his horrible Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin, due to his parents death when he was a baby. He knows nothing of his past and believes that his parents died in a car crash, resulting a scar on Harrys forehead. Yet is Harry to realise he had been believing a complete lie his entire life.
As J.K.Rowling takes us on a journey through a beautiful story of magic, we find a true sort of magic in the book itself. The way it has been written the book is hard to not love. A brilliant book with a touching story, anyone could read this age 9-99. A truly magical story.
