Nothing much happens in the sleepy town of Venus Cove. But everything changes when three angels, Ivy, Bethany and Gabriel are sent from heaven to protect the town against the gathering forces of darkness. They work hard to conceal their true identity and - most of all - their wings.
But the mission is threatened when the youngest angel, Bethany, is sent to high school and falls for the handsome school captain, Xavier Woods. Will she defy the laws of Heaven by loving him?
Things come to a head when the angels realize they are not the only supernatural power in Venus Cove. There′s a new kid in town and he′s charming, seductive and deadly. Worst of all, he′s after Beth.

I really enjoyed reading this book and I loved it!!
This book is about three angels, Gabriel, Ivy and Bethany. They are sent from Heaven on a mission to watch over to the small town of Venus Cove in Earth before it falls under the wing of darkness. Bethany, most inexperienced and human of the trio, starts high school and feels drawn to the school captain, Xavier Woods. They fall deeply in love and Bethany reveals her identity to him which is forbidden. Fortunately, the secret is kept and Xavier is the only human who knows about angels existence. When a newcomer, Jake, arrives to the school, trouble stirs. It turns out Jake is a follower of Lucifer, the Devil. Bethany is in danger but love saves her. It drives Jake away and peace once again lies in Venus Cove.
I feel in love with this book from the beginning and followed it through all the way to the end of the series. The characters are nothing but lovable (even the bad guy was attractive). Alexandra Adornetto is such a good writer and hold a place on my favourite author list!
I absolutely loved this book! It was amazing, I couldn't put it down.
