Title:11 Birthdays

Author: Wendy Mass

Genre: Mystery\Friendship

Rating:

I really liked the sense of mystery because it made the story really exciting and interesting. I also liked how Amanda finally started talking to Leo after an incident on their 10th birthday. They kept on trying to get the thing they both wanted, their 11th  birthday, to end! How would you feel if you had your 11th birthday 11 times?

Title: The Selection

Author: Kiera Cass

Genre: Fantasy

America Singer is a girl who lives in Illea and has to choose whether she should enrol for The Selection or stay with her true love.Want to find out more? Read the book! This is a thrilling book, I like the scene where America writes to her parents where she tells her parents she is settled and jokes around with Prince Maxon. I would recommend this book for those who like fantasy and like series books. This the first of a series of 5 books. My rating is 3 stars because it’s okay but I wish there was more tension.

Title: The Naughtiest Girl In The SchoolScreen Shot 2017-05-24 at 9.22.07 am.png

Author: Enid Blyton

Genre: Funny and humor

For: Ages 8-13. For girls and boys.

Review:

This book is a very funny story about a little girl named Elizabeth Allen who was very spoilt and naughty, plus she got everything that she wanted. Elizabeth had a pony, a dog and a canary. Her parents had tried everything to make her obedient, they even hired nanny after nanny but none of them could make her behave. Finally, they decided to put her in a boarding school called, Whyteleafe Boarding School. Elizabeth didn’t want to go but she had to. This school was very unusual because instead of the teachers doing the punishing, the students did. The school had a head boy named William and a head girl named Rita. There was also twelve monitors or also called the jury, they were the monitors of each room. Elizabeth was in room six. She got fed up with the school so she decided to be as naughty as she could be, so she could get sent back home. She actually got into heaps of trouble, and finally, she realised she would never get sent home. But just before half term (the time when she wanted to leave) Rita had told her if she felt truly sad then she could go. Even though Elizabeth wanted to leave at the start of the term she so desperately wanted to leave but now she wanted to stay. After lot’s of thought, she decided to stay.

Title: James and The Giant Peach

Genre:  Adventure

For: ages 8+

Rating: Image result for 5 star

James and the Giant Peach is a great read. James’ parents are in London but are killed by a rhino that broke out of the zoo. James is now forced to live with his horrid aunties, skinny Aunt Spiker and chubby Aunt sponge. Then, one day, out of nowhere the peach grew, the peach tree that had never before given peaches grew a humongous peach! James will meet some new and interesting friends and go on a trip of a lifetime. I definitely suggest James and the Giant Peach.

Alice in Wonderland is a wonderful book that starts with this little girl also known as Alice. She has a very restricting older sister called Matilda who tries to inform her about books and the real world. Then she decides to follow him and sees him jump down a massive hole. Alice jumps down the rabbit hole after seeing this very rare sight. Good for 9-10 girls

This book is really inspiring because the message is that it tells you that you don’t have to be pretty to be heard. Four 10-year-old friends have lots of problems so they create a club (Anti-Princess Club) to solve their problems. You might think princesses are everything but these girls show you that being an anti-princess is better than being a princess, they really are something! To find out more about The Anti-Princess Club click here.
