Printer-friendly version

I am so excited and honoured to announce the 2014 Inky Awards longlist!(!!!) These fantastic books have been selected by teens, for teens and (in my humble opinion) there is something here for everyone -- young or old, reader or self proclaimed non-reader. Go forth and read, read my pretties!

(Need a text version of the longlist? Here's one!)

Congratulations to all the longlisted authors, and thank you to the many teens who shared their thoughts.

How many of the longlisted books have you read? Do you already have a favourite?

But the biggest question is: who wants to judge these 20 books, and select which 10 will make the shortlist? If you've got a keen eye and a strong voice, I want YOU to apply to be an Inky Awards Judge. Details on how to apply will be posted here on the site tomorrow morning!

It's such an honour to be included on the Gold Inky longlist! And there are so many fantastic books here - it's been a ~Golden~ year in YA publishing!

I've only read one of the Aussie ones. *tsk* I'm such a lousy predictor of what might make it. Still, plenty of time yet to read them.

I've read 5 of the Aussie ones! So happy that there are some familiar covers! But none of the international ones- I guess I better get reading!

YAY! Very exciting, and I want to read THEM ALL! I've read four of them and am over-the-moon to see that they've made it  -especially Fairytales for Wilde Girls.

Eeee... I'm so excited but a little nostalgic. I will definitely making use of the library over the net few months.

Well done to all the authors!

I've read six of the Aussie ones, one of the international ones. Can't wait to apply to be an Inky Judge, those are great choices :)
