Once Upon a Crime is the fourth book in the series The Sisters Grimm. It was written by Michael Buckley and was first published in 2007 by Amulet Books. It is a fantasy and adventurous book, which is about the two Grimm sisters, Sabrina and Daphne Grimm. The book is about the two main characters; Sabrina and Daphne who go back to New York to find the Faerie Kingdom to help save their injured fairy friend Puck. While on their journey, there are a lot of different events which the sisters as well as their family friends; Granny Relda, Mr Canis and Mr Hamstead have to face.
In my opinion I didn't enjoy this book and found it quite boring. I found that the plot didn't interest me and this caused me to not enjoy the book and to lose interest in it quite quickly. Even though I enjoy reading fantasy novels I couldn't really relate well to this book. I think that I would have enjoyed it more if I read it at a younger age.
I think this book is suited for kids aged 8 to 11. It is quite simple which young children will understand and is quite easy to read. This book was quite adventurous and the characters go on a lot of different adventures which I think children in this age group would enjoy.
I would recommend this book to younger readers as it is quite adventurous and a nice fantasy. It’s a simple read and the plot would be quite interesting to them. I wouldn’t recommend this book to people who don’t enjoy reading fantasy as there are a lot of mythical creatures in this book. I also don’t recommend this book for older people is because the language is quite simple and the plot would be uninteresting for older readers.
