Author:  James Patterson

It’s 24 hours since Max Ride and her fellow bird-kids escaped the New York Institute, and they’re still on the run. But the six companions—98 percent human, 2 percent bird—came away with some vital information. If they can decode the garbled words and numbers, perhaps they’ll find out where their parents are. There’s a lot of trouble ahead for Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman and Angel—not to mention Total, the talking dog. Their enemies, the fearsome Erasers, have acquired a new skill—they too can now fly. After an air-battle, the badly hurt Fang ends up in hospital. There the FBI track down the flock, who have even ended up going to school! But that doesn’t quite fit in with searching for parents, or with what the insistent Voice in Max’s head keeps reminding her—that her mission is ‘to save the world’.

The sequel to the angel experiment, this book is just as good as the first. Angel has been rescued, and they have managed to all get away front The School in one piece. It is when they are flying over America that things start to go wrong again: Erasers (half wolf, half human creatures also invented by The School) now have wings, and attack the Flock in midair, injuring Fang. They now have to take him to hospital, which could end in very awkward questions, considering their different DNA's and blood types. At the hospital, while Fang is recovering, Mx is invited to live with a woman working for the FBI, and in return, Fang gets the treatment he needs to recover fully. max agrees to this. When living with Anne, the woman they now live with, they have to go to a real school, one that doesn't contain evil geneticists. This book is just as funny as the last one, and just as witty, with JUST as much adventure and excitement. Go on, read it,

What can I say about this book? Nothing except that it's my most favourite series of all time! James Patterson is a GENIUS! Six kids (eight, if you count Total who comes in later on and Dylan, Max's 'perfect' other half) who have the body of a human, and the inside of a bird with wings expanding around fourteen feet from their backs. Basically, they are mutants- or avian hybrids, which is the term I prefer to use. This particular book in the series is AMAZING because it starts the romance between Max and Fang (that was for all you Fax shippers out there) and it's about how they cope with other people their age. It's a fantastic book, keeps you at the edge of your seat the whole way through. Even now as I await Maximum Ride: Angel, I cannot help thinking what the book AFTER is going to be about. I just love the entire series! They are fairly easy to read and, oh! How I wish I was an avian hybrid!

6 mutant kids who find a \"trustworthy\" person to live with for a while, but she turns out to be the Director of the bad guys. While they're at school, Max gets a crush on a boy and they go out to the movies and kiss. Also, Fang kisses a \"Red-Haired Wonder\" as Max calls her, but Max gets all defensive because she loves Fang but still can't admit it to herself.

The best part of this book was...
EVERYTHING. It's my favourite.
This book is similar to...
the other Maximum Ride books.
The best place to read this book is...
anywhere.
The soundtrack of this book should be...
anything.

a group of kids that were taken from their parents and had experiments done on them. There is Maximum who is the unofficial leader, Fang, Iggy who is blind, Nudge, Gasman and Angel who can read minds. They are aged from 14 to 6. They had avian DNA grafted onto their human DNA causing them to have wings and other abnormal abilities. They are under constant attack from Erasers which are humans with lupine DNA grafted to their DNA. The group of children are ambitious about finding their real parents and they manage to track down one of the children's real parents.

The best part of this book was...
when Max meets her replica and they fight. It was my favourite part in the book because the fight was very dramatic.
This book is similar to...
the first book in the Maximum Ride series. Also you might like it if you have read and enjoyed the CHERUB series or the Matthew Riley books.
The best place to read this book is...
when your bored and have nothing else to do or if your like me and read just before you go to bed each night.
The soundtrack of this book should be...
the albums Don't You Fake It by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus or Lights And Sounds by Yellowcard
