I would of thought that this book would be like the movie but the movie had missed out on a lot of parts I have enjoyed this book so much and I think that others should read it!

The book Matilda had a very good story behind it. It shows that not all people are caring in this world, but lots of people do care. The main idea for me was that if you try hard, you can achieve your goals. Matilda's goal was to earn the respect of her dad, and her school principal, so they wouldn't call her names and make her feel bad. She thinks about the saying "I'm big, you're small. I'm strong, you're weak and there's nothing you can do about it", and in the end her teacher, Miss Honey, adopts her and the bullying ends.

I think this book was fantastic! It really shows how much some children love to read. I think this book is a very good book to encourage more children to read instead of watching TV. This book also shows that Matilda stood up for her rights. A few questions I still have, are: Why is Miss Trunchbell so nasty to the students and staff? Did Miss Trunchbell have a terrible childhood like Miss Honey? Why are Matilda's parents so arrogant?                                                                                             Overall I think this book is great and lots of people should read it!

I thort this book was quite good. I thort this was one of Roald Dahl's best the way it was written put me in Matilda's class. I felt like I was there. I orso thort that it was a bit childish and I thort it would be more suitable for year/grade 4 and 5. Because the language and the hole storey and that the kids are in prep.

The book that i have chosen to read is Matilda. This book was written by Roald Dahl a couple of years ago.

The setting of this book takes place in London. This book is about a young girl named Matilda, she is very intelligent and delightful, but her parents don't care about her. She has a principal that is very scary and mean, her name was Miss Trunchball. Miss Honey on the other hand was a generous person she’s the opposite of Miss Trunchball.

One of my favorite parts of the book is when Matilda uses her magic to pit a lizard in miss Trunchball's drink, and because miss trunchball to busy being a bossy boot and not caring about anyone she didn't realize there was anything in her cup and she drank it.mI honestly found that hilarious.

I personally do like this book. It is very funny and joyful. One part of the book that i specifically found to be good was when Bruce [ a 12 year old boy] is forced to eat a massive chocolate cake. One part is did not like as much was when Matilda was shoved in the choky which is a closet full of nails coming out from the walls and corners.

I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone because its a suitable book for all ages including elderly people. The author wrote this book to give the readers something exciting to read.

The authors Opinions of the events are dramatic but funny in a way, i definitely wouldnt compare this to other books because this book is funny unless like some other book that are non-funny and all serious.

I rate this book a 4/5 because its really good book and its enjoyable, its suitable mild funny and has some ups and downs to it but overall a good book . :)
