Imagine yourself going to a school where they taught you witchcraft and magic, and the school itself is an immense castle. Imagine having two wonderful friends that get into all sorts of situations with you. Imagine a mystery that dates back to the beginning of the school itself, and having to solve this mystery with your friends before someone potentially dies. All of this, and more, can be found in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. You may think, ‘Nobody reads books anymore,’ but this book is just one part of a bestselling series that must be read before you die for its plot and engaging characters.

We all love characters that we can relate to, and in this novel, there’s certainly no exceptions. Harry is a boy who makes mistakes, just like us, showing that nobody is perfect. Ron is very funny, and everyone loves a character with a good sense of humour. Hermione is an intelligent and clever character, and intelligence is often admired. These three all have their strengths and weaknesses, which makes them feel as if they’re real.

The Chamber of Secrets has been met with near universal acclaim, and for all the right reasons.
The plot in this book is clever and smooth, and some scenes will make you hold your breath in anticipation for what will happen next. The action scenes are exciting and vivid, and the humour really does make you laugh out loud!

‘Nobody reads books anymore.’ A common excuse to not read books that have movies based off of them.  Yes, while it is easier to watch a movie instead of reading a book, reading is so much better. Movies often emit or change scenes from books, and some of these scenes are extremely interesting, and add to the worth of the book. Not only this, but reading the book uses your imagination, so if you didn’t like a certain scene from the movie, you can always reinvent it.

In conclusion, The Chamber of Secrets is a must read for its creative plot, detailed characters and strong moral message. If you’ve watched the movie, read the book! If over 77 million people have enjoyed it, surely you will too.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it is my favourite episode of the whole series of Harry Potter. After Harry recieved a warning message from Dobby, Harry Potter has been curious of Dobby's words but knows that deep down Dobby is wrong so he ignores him anyway. After that, Dobby gets really mad and reveals his magic to the muggles downstairs, revealing or making out like it was Harry Potter. If you don't know what Muggles are, They are people who don't believe in magic. Harry is then been grounded by putting bars on his window but then his friend Ron comes and saves the day as they secretly disappear in Ron's fathers magic car. This is an awesome book and i really think you should read it because it has a very awesome edge of your seat ending. You would definetly not want to put this down after you read a chapter you just want to start reading more!

This book was quite an enjoyable one. The thrills and action involved is tremendous. Harry is off to another year of Hogwarts although his uncle and aunt think otherwise. Dobby, the house elf appears in young Harry's room while this carers are having some wine and cake with friends. Dobby came to tell Harry that Hogwarts was not the same this year and he must not go. The 'Chamber of Secrets' has been opened once again thus making the school unsafe. Harry refuses to listen Dobby, Dobby then runs down stairs levitates a cake and then drops it onto a guest's head. After this incident Harry's carers Bar his windows and put several locks on his door, this ensuring him of not going anyway. That following night Harry's fellow friends Ron Weasly comes to Harry's window in his Flying Car

Harry potter and the chamber of secrets was written by Joanne Rowling popularly know as J.K Rowling. This book was published in 1998 so it’s quite a old book but because it’s movie rights were bought in 2000 the movie came out a few years later, it was published by the publication company Bloomsbury.

The book was set in England somewhere lost in the mountains where “muggles” would never come and discover the magic people, “muggles” meaning non-magic folk. The main character in the book is Harry Potter the title pretty much gives it away but in all the Harry Potter series he’s two friends are in it to Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

The plot of the book is Voldemort the main villain try’s to mentally manipulate harry potter pretending to be his friend, he makes contact with him using his diary and leads Harry, Ron and one of the professor’s  into the school sewer system where Voldermort is hiding and uses he’s pet serpent to kill them, one glance of it’s eyes is enough to kill you but harry fight’s it with the sword of gryffindor.

In my opinion Harry Potter is one of the best books ever written it’s very interesting with a good story to make you continue the series, one of my favourite bits is where Harry fights off the serpent. One I didn’t like is when the janitors pet cat which he cared for more than himself get’s petrified. I recommend this book to people who are interested in mythical stories involving magic. I think this book is written for people of any age.

The authors opinion of the book is very obvious she is into the old fashion where good beats evil but not in all cases. I personally agree with how she wrote the book some events in the series you just don't see coming. I think their aren’t any books you could compare it to it’s unique in it’s own way. I think this book is written for teenagers it gives them the opportunity to compare their schooling life's to theirs and to imagine your life with a bit of magic in it. I give this book a 10/10 because I think no book compares. This book had a sense of danger and excitement which you don’t find alot in books.
