Andy and his cousin, Marnie Myers, hit the Horrorland Theme Park looking for the usual chills and thrills --- but a little something extra makes their trip a real-life fright fest. When Marnie gets called up to participate in an audience show, the audience members turn into a nightmarish crowd of ghouls controlled by an evil-looking clown. When the kids use a spotlight to calm the horrid beasts, Andy finds out that this is just one of the many hoops he will literally have to jump through to unlock the mystery behind WHEN THE GHOST DOG HOWLS.
The sharp tooth the children become the owners of ends up truly granting wishes, besides bringing into the real world some very scary and destructive creatures. While Andy has to try to get the tooth back from Marnie --- who uses it to advance herself in school in ways she had never thought possible before --- their lives go crazy. There are some really frightening episodes with the Ghoul Dog and additional fearsome creatures, all presented in the plain-spoken Goosebumps trademark dialogue that draws kids in and holds them captive as the story unwinds.
Like all good Goosebumps titles, there are a lot of scares around every turned page, and peril is constantly nipping at Andy’s heels. The warnings of Jonathan Chiller come true in ways you won’t expect. If your skin isn’t crawling with goosebumps while you’re reading this book, you might be one of the many scary non-human inhabitants of HorrorLand. Read at your own risk!
