Going For Broke
Nathan is tired of watching other kids receive awards at assembly, so he hatches a plan to do something 'amazingly amazing' by breaking a record in the Amazing World Records book. With little planning but lots of daring, Nathan and his mates make numerous attempts at World Record feats. Each attempt is unsuccessful and quite frequently painful, but with a quirky twist, they just might succeed.

Theres a character called Nathan Foley and he is destined for greatness. He doesnt have very good manners. He is determined to get a world record and become famous.
My opinion - It was a good book and there was a certain bit that i loved and it was when he plunges his paddle into a jellyfish and that cracked me up. The were also boring bits like at the start. I would Recommend this book for other people that like a good read. I dont know anyone that would like this book. I reckon that the author had a brother that was crazy and she based it on him. I disagree about the events of the book because they could of made it funnier instead of lots of description all the time. I would compare it to Guiness World Records 2007. Its written fo ages 12 and up.
