It's 1996, and Josh and Emma have been neighbors their whole lives. They've been best friends almost as long - at least, up until last November, when Josh did something that changed everything. Things have been weird between them ever since, but when Josh's family gets a free AOL CD in the mail, his mom makes him bring it over so that Emma can install it on her new computer. When they sign on, they're automatically logged onto their Facebook pages. But Facebook hasn't been invented yet. And they're looking at themselves fifteen years in the future.
By refreshing their pages, they learn that making different decisions now will affect the outcome of their lives later. And as they grapple with the ups and downs of what their futures hold, they're forced to confront what they're doing right - and wrong - in the present.
This book is about a girl and a boy. The girl named Emma had just got a computer for her birthday and got an unexpected visit from her old best friend. His name was Josh. He came over to drop off a CD drive which had just arrived in his mail. This CD drive installed a website they both had never seen before. They soon relieseD that they were dealing with a website that allowed them to see statuses that have been set from their furture self on this unknown website 'Facebook'.
The last book I read was 'the future of us', i really enjoyed this book as it was very interesting and things were happening one after the other. This book also has a bit of romance in it which I believe is a part of always wanting to keep reading so you can find out what happens in the end. In conclusion this book just always has you thinking and wanting you to find out what event happens next.
'The Future of us' is one of the best books I've read. I really liked how she tried to fix things al the time. I would have liked the main charcters to get together sooner than at the very end just before the story ended. The blurb to me made it seem like a romance but even thought i wasnt all romance, it was stil one of the best books.
It was an okay book. Intesting story line and it kept me hooked except I just didn't love the characters so much.
