Annie's dreaming of glamorous New York City and down-to-earth Charlie can't wait to spend some time in country U.S.A. Then their parent's pull a switch - and unexpectedly turn Annie and Charlie's worlds completely upside down!
Exchanging lives is about two girls named Annie and Charlie, who have the chance to go on an exchange program to an overseas country for three months. Charlie’s destination is Redlands, Ohio and Annie destination is New York City. The family that Charlie will be staying with is very large family they live on a huge farm so Charlie will have to do chores; the family that Annie will be staying with is a rich family that lives in a huge mansion in that family there is two people the mum and her daughter Veronica. Annie and Charlie use to be former best friends but they had nothing in common. But when their parents tell them the wrong plane, Annie soon has to go to Redland, Ohio and Charlie has to go to New York City
The theme of this book is friendship and trust because when they both go to each others country’s they soon start talking to each other on how they can go back to their country they were meant to go. If it was not for their parents they might of never talk to each other again.
My opinion of this book is that it is a brilliant story of seeing the world in somebody else’s eyes and friendship it also teaches people a lesson on being friends with someone. I rate this book a 4/5.
