The Devil Wears Prada novel is about a recent college graduate, Andrea Sachs, who wants to work for The New Yorker some day, but she doesn't have connections or much job experience. She accepts an entry level job at a big high fashion magazine, Runway, because she is told that Miranda Priestly is very powerful and has connections in the industry. She works for Miranda as her assistant, and from day one there, she feels lost. Miranda makes Andrea's life miserable with incomplete instructions and assignments that she is not sure how to perform and every time she gets frustrated, but someone keeps reminding her that her job is a job that a million girls would die for.
She realizes that Miranda is trying to mold her into a young Miranda. All of the sudden, friends and family need her, and she becomes torn between striving for her dream job and being with friends and family. Many things happen that make her change her plans, and she decides to give it to Miranda and go on her own.
The Devil wears Prada is a very interesting book and I like how she will do anything for her dream job even if that means drifting away from her friend.

The Devil Wears Prada is about a young girl following her dreams in becoming a succesful editor. She applies for many jobs through her life in New York and attends one interview for 'Runway'. Although she knows very little about the fashion world she tries her best to get this job. Little does she know that she will be epected to stay back late hours, complete impossible tasks in very little time and fly to Paris with Miranda Priestly.
