Around the world, black hand-prints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.

In a dark and dusty shop, a devil's supply of human teeth grown dangerously low.

And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherworldly war.

Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real; she's prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands"; she speaks many languages--not all of them human; and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that colour. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she's about to find out.

When one of the strangers--beautiful, haunted Akiva--fixes his fire-coloured eyes on her in an alley in Marrakech, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?

ITS AN AMAZING FANTASY  THAT I WOULD LOVE TO LIVE IN.

Its a love story of angel and demon. And their aim  to archieve maintaing peace in the angelic and demonic world and stop the massacre of innocent children. They want the world a better place.its a book that shows we are able   to make changes in our society despite our position, gender or number but it  emphasizes that change begins with ourselves inspired by our greatest dreams.

Karou is Human. But then again she isnt. She spends her days going between the human world and "elsewhere" running errands (teeth collecting) for the mysterious Brimstone. She doesnt know anything about her past. But soon it will all come charging back at her.

Yes yes yes. This book is a must read. A truly original story, captivating characters and in no way at all boring. Im about to finish the second one which is just as amazing as the first. The third isnt out yet but i really hope it will very soon. A must read!!1

I found that this book was very interesting and much to my liking. The names and places that are discribed in said book are worldly and many. I love the fact that it isn't mainstream. It's what I would call an Indi book. The author is very talented and imaginative. I loved that their wasn't a clear line between "Good and Evil" straight away in the book. It was really good.

Fabulous book - I really loved it.  It's not obvious early on who are the heroes and who are the villains, and the Chimaera and their world are fascinating.  Add one (literally) smouldering angel to the mix and it's impossible to stop reading.  Fans of the Mercy series and Angelology will just love it!
