RE: Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Rodrick Rules

Rodrick Rules from  the series of Diary of a Wipmy Kid is about a boy called Greg Heffley, who goes to high school. He tells you lots of embarrassing things that happen to him at school and at home. The thing Greg really wants to do is get revenge on his older brother called Rodrick who is always mean to him. He is so mean that he held a party while their parents were gone and made Greg clean up all of the mess before mum and dad got home, which was a disaster. Once Rodrick told the whole school that Greg got stuck in the ladies bathroom for 45 minutes. What is Greg going to do when everyone at school finds out about it?

The themes in the book are courage, friendship and family because Greg goes through many things that require courage, his family and his friends. It tells you that sometimes you might hate your family but you have to deal with it and, that if things go wrong, in the end they aren’t as bad as you think they are.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone because it’s really good and different from other novels because it has pictures and it is a diary. It’s funny and hilarious by telling you many humiliating things that happen in Greg’s life. It’s really easy to read because it doesn’t have too many pages and you never get bored.
