RE: Private Peaceful

Rating:
4

the life of a boy named Tommo Peaceful, it tells about his life before he joined the army and went off to war. The book is set around 1900 - 1914 when the war started. the book is about the relationship between the two most important people in Tommo's life, Molly and Charlie, Charlie was his older brother and Molly was his best friend. They would do everything together and came very close friends. The book is a story of death, love, separation, innocence and courage. There are many sad aspects of the book.

The best part of this book was...
when they go off to war, it's like the style of the book had completely changed or it was a completely different book, it was no longer a drama or a sad movie it had become an action movie. This was good because it kept the reader interested.
This book is similar to...
the book Gallipoli, as it is set in times of war. If you don't like war books this is not the one for you.
The best place to read this book is...
in the book store so you don't have to buy it because it is actually a bit short so you would probably finish the book in less than a week and you probably wouldn't read this book again.
The soundtrack of this book should be...
the theme music from the movie Atonement, because Atonement is about love and war just like Private Peaceful so they both have very similar styles of music both would be sad and action packed in different parts of the song. The music needs to have a soft sense to it but then it needs to get a bit louder and more action like towards the middle.
