Hi lovely 7M students,
Welcome to our very own bookclub site, here we can share our love of stories, make recommendations for others for great books to borrow and reflect on what we have read. It operates as an interactive website, similar to facebook, but without access to the general public. You will be required to read for pleasure novels, short stories and poems of your own selection throughout the remainder of the year.
We will endeavour to make time on the laptops each fortnight to add our thoughts about what we are reading, (even if we are part way through a book) sometimes I will set a question for you to answer, other times your comments might be more general.
In your comments, things to consider are:
- Text title, author, genre and where/how you found it
- What makes this text interesting/uninteresting
- What special features are included in the writing
- Who you would recommend it to and why
- Which other writing by this author would you like to read in the future
