Write Across Victoria
There is an opportunity for Victorian students from Years 7 to 9 to to win cash, prizes and have Voiceworks magazine publish their work.
"Students use one of three story starters provided by writers HJ Harper, Michael Pryor and Lili Wilkinson to kick off their own 500 word story, which they upload to the MWF website. Entries open on Friday 25 May, so look out for all the details at www.mwf.com.au." - Melbourne Writer's Festival

Mundaring Bicentennial Scholarship Trust
If you're 25 and under, and have an artistic streak (visual arts, literature, film, music, etc) and live in the shire of Mundaring, then there is a scholarship application just for you. Submissions end 31st of December. The scholarship is ongoing. So feel free to apply each year.
Dorothea Mackellar Poetry Awards
Entries close on the 30th of June.
There is a cash prizes for each category: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10,12. This includes a prize pack colletion of books.

Students living in NSW & ACT in Years 7-9 are eligible to enter.
