In ye olde Queen's Hall at the State Library of Victoria, ghost stories will come alive this Thursday at Fright Night!

We're proud to support this Emerging Writers' Festival event, featuring YA authors Leanne Hall, Doug MacLeod, and Tim Pegler.

Our mammoth May competition offered the chance to win one of 5 double-passes to Fright Night. The winning entries to the question 'If you could be haunted by any character from a book, who it would be, and why?' are...

The ghost of  Christmas future. I'd be sure to never make a bad decision for the rest of  life.

I would be haunted by Greg Heffley, because it would be so awesome to be haunted by a stick figure.

Skulduggery Pleasant, because he would always make some kind of joke and lighten up my  day.

Anyone from the Penguin Book of Jokes From Cyberspace, it would make my life a comedy and give me so many joke lines. Also it'd make everything so dramatic. I'd love it!

The zombies in ALONE because it would be fun to run from them because their [sic] slow and they don't have brains.

Congratulations! If one of these was your entry, we will be in touch.
