R-Patz, being the busy little vampire he is, has ruled himself out of playing Finnick Odair in the second Hunger Games movie (Catching Fire).
So, who's left? Well the following three are Hollywood's top contenders: Taylor Kitsch,Armie Hammer, and Garrett Hedlund.

Of course a movie chraacter can never be as good as his/her book version, because the book version lives purely in the imagination. Books are a balanced meal; movies are a carb-filled snack. I don't know who I'd choose, but I'm not very happy with any of the above candidates. None of them have enough edge to have survived everything Finnick Odair's been through. Finnick has to have a certain haunted angst. For Beetee, though: definitely, DEFINITELY Michael Emerson, imho. He does the adorable bespectacled inventor/nerd/genius thing so well and with an edge.Erin O'Riordanb4s last post ..
